The latest Liverpool transfer rumours including updates on Andre Trindade, Romeo Lavia, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Micky van de Ven

The list of rumoured Liverpool targets continues to grow as the club approaches the new campaign having made only two signings.

Jurgen Klopp has seen Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai come through the door, however the exits of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have made the midfield landscape a whole lot trickier to traverse with only a week to go until the crunch match with Chelsea.

Outgoings were perhaps not expected to go as far as they have done, but now that this is the case Anfield chiefs must adapt in order to supply Klopp with what he needs in order to compete at the top once again.

Defensive midfield reinforcements therefore remain key, while the Reds play with the possibility of engine room and defensive additions before the September 1st deadline.

And here are the latest Liverpool transfer rumours…

Andre Trindade

The latest suggestion all the way from Brazil is that Liverpool will soon table a £21.5m offer for Fluminese pivot Andre Trindade.

Following the second rejected offer for Romeo Lavia earlier this week, the ECHO reported the emergence of the 22-year-old as a possible target with Liverpool’s interest genuine.

Fast-forward four days and if Brazilian outlet Terra, via Paisley Gates, are to be believed, the situation must be unfolding positively as the midfielder’s club have been informed to expect a bid ‘in the coming days’.

What’s more, another Brazilian outlet, Globo Esporte, have claimed that the Reds’ interest in Andre has not sprouted out of the blue as a result of knockbacks in their quest for Lavia, but instead has been a three-year scouting process dating back to 2020.

Romeo Lavia

On Friday it was claimed there would be ‘no imminent transfer’ with regards to Romeo Lavia, as Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri reported the midfielder would be included in Southampton’s season opener against Sheffield Wednesday.

As it turned out, the 19-year-old was only named on the bench and didn’t see any action as his side scored a late winner to start the campaign off on a strong note.

Speaking after the match, Saints manager Russell Martin said: “Of course there will be people going, and when they do go hopefully we will be able to add to the group with players that suit us, and will help the group.

“In the next four weeks the squad will look different. That’s just part and parcel [of football].”

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Quite a surprise to see was the fact that the Reds were installed as ‘favourites’ to sign Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall this summer, in one betting market.

Placed at 5/2, Liverpool led rivals Everton, Tottenham and Arsenal, amongst others, on KingCasinoBonus’ site after rumours surfaced ahead of the weekend.

The Foxes’ academy graduate has two seasons’ worth of Premier League experience, making 59 top-flight appearances between 2021 andSouthampton make ruthless Romeo Lavia U-turn amid Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool transfer links - football.london 2023.

The midfielder also lifted the Community Shield with his current club in 2021 and memorably stunned Anfield seven months ago with an opening goal inside four minutes in last season’s league meeting on Merseyside

Earlier in the summer Liverpool were linked with Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.
