Bayern Munich are trying to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer, but have been sent a strange transfer message about the England captain amid links between Spurs and Mathys Tel.

Bayern Munich have been sent a bizarre transfer warning about signing Tottenham star Harry Kane this summer by German outlet Bild.

The Bundesliga champions have been launching a high-profile move for the England captain, who has just a year remaining on his contract in north London. football.londonunderstands that Kane is open to possibilities regarding his future – whether that be leaving this summer, leaving next summer for a free transfer, or signing a new deal at Spurs during the season should he see progress under Ange Postecoglou – but he will not sign a new contract this summer.

It leaves Spurs with a huge dilemma over their star player – whether to accept a deal below market value for a striker chasing the Premier League goalscoring record, or allow him to leave for nothing next year and potentially join a rival in England. Bayern have not held back in their pursuit of the 30-year-old, with talks between club chiefs taking place over the last week, and plenty of chat about the striker from club officials past and present.

It’s been a strange summer for Kane and Spurs, including antics in press conferences from Bild drawing the ire of Postecoglou. And that has now continued with the paper sending a bizarre message urging them not to sign Kane.

Raimund Hinko, a journalist who has covered the Bundesliga giants for some time, says that the move would be a waste of money and that links between Spurs and young Bayern star Mathys Tel show the Premier League fun are making fun of the German side.Bayern Munich officially submit $76 million offer for Tottenham's Harry Kane

“Dear Uli Hoeness, dear Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, dear Jan Christian Dreesen, dear Herbert Hainer, dear Thomas Tuchel, dear everyone you have something to say at Bayern: of course, I wish I had never had to write the letter,” Hinko wrote.

“Perhaps it’s a last-ditch effort to keep you, who watch over the weal and woe of FC Bayern, from spending €100million or more on a – sorry – 30-year-old bone. Although, I apologise again to all players over 30, there are quite a number of mature, experienced professionals who have stayed young, who are in top shape, whose careers are only just beginning at 30.

“I’ve long since retracted everything I wrote about Harry Kane, including Stumbling Harry. Of course, he has his credit for the Tottenham team, a team that rarely gets tight in opposing penalty areas as they are not a ball possession side like Bayern. When I see that the so-called Super-Harry fills almost the entire penalty area with his wide arm movements even after a penalty – no, I don’t want to get angry, it’s not worth it.

“Maybe this Kane will hit Bayern against my football knowledge. I have accumulated a lot of this knowledge throughout my life, which even the coaching god Pep Guardiola appreciates about me. But if it’s absolutely necessary, then, in God’s name, just buy Harry Kane. Only: Don’t start whining like Sadio Mane, who came a year ago from a team that has focused more on so-called raid football. Which has largely stopped playing constructive football in order to cheat on the opponent’s mistakes. “Maybe a miracle will happen to Harry Kane and he’ll start to shine in a small space like Robert Lewandowski celebrated… No, I stopped believing in miracles a long time ago. Not even in football. If my colleague Walter M. Straten, a fan of English football, answers the question of whether Kane is worth his money with a “PUH”.

“Why the hell are Tottenham now even making fun of FC Bayern and spreading rumours that they want to buy Mathys Tel? You can’t let Tottenham show you up, dear Bayern officials. Don’t ridicule. Who are they from this London suburb anyway? English champions in Stone Age football 62 and 72 years ago.”
