Leeds United are interested in signing Manchester United defender Brandon Williams this summer.

That is according to the Independent, who report Leeds are considering a move for Williams as they look to strengthen their options at left-back.

Williams is set to be allowed to leave Man United permanently before the end of the window but whether Leeds can get a deal done is likely to be dependent on his willingness to drop down to the ChampionshipWhat’s more, it is also public knowledge how much of a huge Man United supporter Williams is, and so moving to a rival such as Leeds could be another hurdle in any potential transfer. That said, Williams has worked under Daniel Farke before with the Leeds boss having signed him on a season-long-loan deal for Norwich City back in 2021.

Leeds considering move for Man United’s

Leeds are in desperate need of strengthening their options at left-back this summer with Junior Firpo currently injured and expected to leave.

Leo Hjelde has proved himself to be a more than adequate performer in that role during pre-season and is expected to start the campaign as first choice.

However, Hjelde is only 19 and will need both cover and competition over the course of a long 46-game season, and Williams would certainly provide that.

Williams has made 47 Premier League appearances over the course of his career and although he is right-footed, has proven himself as a strong performer at left-back.

At this point it remains unclear what sort of fee Man United will command for the 22-year-old, who is out of contract next summer, though does have the option for another year.Brandon Williams: Bayer Leverkusen contact Man Utd about move for full-back | Football News | Sky Sports
