Because – the paper claims – the Ligue 1 and German sides have also agreed terms over a deal with Juve for Zakaria.
And now it seems it will be a straight battle between West Ham, Monaco and Leipzig for the midfielder.
West Ham should be able to offer better wages than both those clubs as well as the chance to prove himself in the best league in the world.
A source close to the West Ham board has described the club’s transfer by committee approach as ‘a shambles and complete mess’.
