Latest Birmingham City transfer news as Jordan James garners interest from Everton and Serie A clubs, with his stance on a potential move revealed
Birmingham City midfielder Jordan James is “happy to stay” at the club this summer – despite transfer interest.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye after breaking into the Blues first team in 2021, and already has 53 Championship appearances to his name. That has attracted interest from a number of clubs, but the Blues might not have to worry about losing him this summer.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, James is “happy to stay” with the Blues this transfer window, despite interest from the Premier League and Serie A. Bologna and now-Championship team Leicester City are among those to have been linked in the past.

It’s said that Everton have been scouting him in pre-season, with Sean Dyche looking to bolster his squad and drag Everton away from the prospect of another relegation battle.
Speaking back in 2022, when James was breaking through as a 17-year-old, manager Lee Bowyer gushed: “His future is as bright as he wants it to be. I don’t think you can put too much pressure on him now but if he keeps doing what he is doing, showing the hunger he is showing and desire to improve he will be as good as he wants to be.
“He is a tremendous asset to the club, he is a good player, if he wasn’t good he wouldn’t be playing trust me, he is a good one, he is young and people are going to be looking at him for sure.”
