update news: Liverpool are in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a sensational loan move for super star

After Kylian Mbappe rejected a world record move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, Liverpool have entered talks with Paris Saint-Germain about a move for the France international

PSG are fuming that Mbappe refused to talk to Saudi Arabia side Al Hilal after the French champions accepted their world record shattering £259million bid. But they also fear that Mbappe will walk out for nothing in 12 months’ time to Real Madrid.

Liverpool are ready to offer Mbappe a one-year loan deal, which gets him out of Paris, will bring in cash for PSG and enables the 24-year-old striker to complete his dream move to Madrid. The Reds have been encouraged by Mbappe’s respect for the club and the fact that his mother, Fayza Lamari – also his agent – is an avid Kop fan.

Mbappe has often praised Anfield boss Jurgen Klopp and he and his representatives held transfer discussions with Liverpool before opting to join PSG when he decided to leave Monaco

We talked a little bit, but not too much,” he told the Telegraph last year. “We talked a little bit. I talked to Liverpool because it’s the favourite club of my mum, my mum loves Liverpool. “I don’t know why, you will have to ask her! It’s a good club and we met them five years ago. When I was in Monaco I met them. It’s a big club.”

Things came to a head after Mbappe branded PSG a “divisive club” in an interview with France Football magazine. When asked if he felt his performances for PSG have been trivialised, Mbappe said: “Yes, but at the same time, I don’t blame them.

“In France, they saw me grow up, they see me all the time, at PSG every weekends or in selection. I’ve been scoring a lot for years. So, for people, it’s becoming normal. I’ve never complained that my performances are trivialised.

“I’m young and I’ve had the chance to It was not that long ago to be an observer, before being an actor. Myself, I trivialised what Messi was doing, what Cristiano Ronaldo was doing, what the great players were doing.

“We are in a consumer society, where ‘it’s good, but do again’. I think playing at Paris Saint-Germain doesn’t help much because it’s a divisive team, a divisive club. So, of course, it attracts gossip but it doesn’t bother me because I know what I’m doing and how I do it
