The Las Vegas Raiders ended the 2023 season on a high note, but oddsmakers aren’t optimistic about that momentum carrying over into the 2024 campaign, as Mark Davis focuses on building long-term success.

Last season, the Raiders were 3-5 by November but managed to improve to an 8-9 record following the midseason firing of head coach Josh McDaniels. The team transformed under Antonio Pierce, who was promoted from linebackers coach to interim head coach.

With Pierce at the helm, the Raiders went 5-4 over the final nine games of 2023, ultimately earning him the full-time head coaching position this offseason.

The strong finish included an impressive 3-1 record from Weeks 15-18, with victories against the Chargers, Chiefs, and Broncos. Their only loss during that stretch was a narrow defeat by a field goal to the Colts.

Despite this success, expectations for the Raiders in 2024 remain low in the betting markets. While the defense, anchored by star DE Maxx Crosby, shows promise, the offense has significant gaps and uncertainties, contributing to the skepticism about the team’s playoff chances as the Las Vegas Raiders 2024 Futures Odds are set.
