On Saturday, former Kentucky Wildcats shone at the Olympics, with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone capping off a dominant performance in Paris. It was a banner day for the Wildcats, as the men’s basketball team secured gold, led by Devin Booker’s 15-point contribution.

 

On the track, Masai Russell clinched the gold in the 100m hurdles, while Alexis Holmes and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone were part of the 4x400m relay team that clocked 3:15.27—the second-fastest time in history, just one-tenth of a second shy of the world record. McLaughlin-Levrone’s extraordinary 47.70-second split on the second leg effectively sealed the victory.
