Latest Stoke City transfer news as the Potters confirm the season-long loan signing of Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers
Stoke City have confirmed the signing of Bournemouth goalkeeper Mark Travers on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old becomes Alex Neil’s latest signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Enda Stevens, Ben Pearson, Michael Rose, Daniel Johnson, André Vidigal, Ki-Jana Hoever and Chiquinho.
Travers brings with him valuable Championship experience, having won the 2021-22 Golden Glove as the Cherries were promoted to the Premier League. He made 45 appearances that season and won Bournemouth’s player of the season award.

The Republic of Ireland international has received rave reviews from Stoke City technical director Ricky Martin.
“For a goalkeeper of his age to have already achieved what he has in the game is rare and remarkable,” Martin said upon the announcement of Travers’ arrival at the bet365 Stadium.
“He has featured in international football, played in the Premier League and – perhaps most importantly – was a standout performer when Bournemouth got promoted a couple of seasons ago.
“There was of course a keen interest in Mark from other clubs, so we’re delighted that he’s chosen to come to Stoke City.”
