East Carolina University’s 2025 recruiting class has gained a significant addition with the commitment of three-star linebacker Jordan Miles from Grissom High School in Huntsville, Alabama. Standing at 6-foot-1 and weighing 200 pounds, Miles brings both size and talent to the Pirates’ future roster.
Rated an 84 overall by 247Sports, Miles is recognized as the 168th-best linebacker nationally and the 80th-best player in Alabama for the 2025 class. His commitment to ECU is a notable win for the program, as he chose the Pirates over Arkansas State, where he also made an official visit, as well as Memphis and UAB. Other offers for Miles included Air Force, Army, Central Michigan, and Toledo, highlighting his appeal to a wide range of programs.
During his junior season at Grissom High School, despite the team’s 2-8 record, Miles showcased his defensive prowess. He recorded 60 tackles, with six tackles for loss, two sacks, and two forced fumbles. These stats reflect his ability to impact the game and suggest he will be a valuable asset for ECU’s defense.
Miles’ decision to join East Carolina reflects the growing appeal of the program under the current coaching staff. His blend of athleticism and on-field production is expected to enhance the competitiveness of the Pirates’ defense in the coming years. As ECU continues to build its 2025 recruiting class, the addition of players like Miles is a promising sign for the future of the program.
