Former Ipswich Town midfielder Brett McGavin has left Torquay United after his contract expired at the National League South side.
The 24-year-old was released by Town after ten years at Portman Road, and he signed with the Gulls in the summer of 2022.

McGavin went on to establish himself as a mainstay at Plainmoor, where he made 75 appearances and scored 11 goals, some of which were spectacular.
The Devon team, which placed 18th in the sixth division in the 2023–2024 season—was among the 14 players that were let go. This was the team’s lowest league result since 1927.
Sadly, the team was forced into administration back in April. However, a group of local businessmen called the Bryn Consortium recently took control of the team and named Neil Warnock as their football advisor.
McGavin advanced through the academy and made 11 appearances for Town in all.
