The Tractor Boys are back in the top level, something they haven’t done since 2002. Even while they are still celebrating their promotion, behind-the-scenes plans are being made to strengthen the club in preparation for their difficult fight to remain in the Premier League come next season.

It was a challenging season for Millwall, as the team spent most of the year fighting to avoid relegation before Neil Harris was reinstated as head coach. Author’s Perspective

Clubs that were promoted to the Premier League in the past have thrown large sums of money towards the goal of surviving. Burnley this season and Fulham in prior seasons are just two instances of teams that gave it their all to avoid relegation but eventually fell short.

Ipswich Town could be relegated the next season, thus the recruitment team will need to be judicious with their spending in order to prevent the team from being overpaid and bloated. Flemming would be a wise addition if the club could not re-sign Omari Hutchinson and Jeremy Sarmiento this summer for just £5 million.
