Miami has secured its seventh commitment for the 2025 class.
Takaylen Muex, an interior offensive lineman for the Fletcher team in Neptune Beach, Florida, made his commitment to the Hurricanes known on Thursday night. This happened a little more than a week after he accepted an offer from Ed Pata and Alex Mirabal during his high school’s live spring evaluation.
Before making his statement, Muex told InsideTheU, “They made me feel like I was needed and not just wanted for their business they got to go through.” “They said they liked my mental, my feet, and they said they see me being an All-Conference, All-American guard at the next level.”
An examination of the best offensive lineman Miami still has available.
On Thursday night, IOL Takaylen ‘TK’ Muex committed to the Hurricanes. The 6-foot-3.5, 340-pound player has official visits scheduled with UCF and FAU, among other colleges. Florida, Florida State, Auburn, and South Carolina have been in contact with the Seminoles and Gators to see him train this spring, but he will be a Hurricane.
I am ecstatic. Muex declared, “I’m prepared to go down there and finish the job.”
Muex, who has a wingspan of about six feet nine, intends to enroll early at Miami in January. Many people in the building associate him with Anez Cooper, the starting right guard at the same developmental period.
Muex is essentially committing to Miami without having seeing the city, since he has scheduled an official visit with the Hurricanes for May 31. Although he has previously camped at the school, he must have the entire in-person experience. That will alter when he and a few other promises visit at the end of the month.
“I’ve been down there one time to camp, but I haven’t been there since,” remarked Muex. “But I already know about it and I got a couple of virtual tours on it.”
