In their current series, the Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers played a pivotal game three at Cleveland after the Celtics lost game two at home. The series was now up 2-1 after the result of game three, and the Celtics managed to win. If they had lost, they would have been eliminated from the series, and game four would have been their next away game. That was not a good idea.
The Celtics’ first-round series loss to the Miami Heat in game two served as a wake-up call, and it appears that it may have done so again this time around. On Saturday night, Boston did not play around as they defeated the Cavaliers 106-93.
The Celtics had a goal going into the third game. They weren’t going to allow that to happen since they understood how bad losing that one would have been. Jaylen Brown disclosed their pre-game mentality before game three.According to a post from the Celtics on CLNS, Jaylen Brown stated after the victory, “I think that’s what we need—just trying to take it all in.” “I believe that 85% of the fight is already won if everyone just puts in the appropriate effort and is on the same page. We show up and play hard, and since we’re in agreement, the rest will work itself out. We have the quality in the locker room to defeat teams, but we will run into problems if we don’t play with intensity and unity. Ensuring that prior to the game, while filming, during the production, interacting with and touching every individual, and informing everyone.
Boston had the correct attitude going into game three, and it paid off. On Saturday, the team was in sync and the effort was there. The outcome was a victory, and the Celtics now lead the series 2-1.
