Latest Aston Villa news from Birmingham Live brings you news of a potential exit from Villa Park.

Aston Villa striker Wesley Moraes is reportedly in talks with Championship Watford over a loan move.

The Hornets are looking to bolster their attack after allowing the highly-rated Ismaila Sarr to join French side Marseille on a five-year deal.

And now they hope to make up for the hole he will leave in their frontline by trying to lure Wesley to Vicarage Road where Watford are hoping to return to the Premier League next season.

It is claimed by the Daily Mail that the striker is in talks over a season-long loan move with his chances of first-team football at Villa looking extremely remote.

The Brazilian has had three spells out on loan after returning from a cruciate ligament injury having played for Brugge, Internacional and Levante.BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND - MARCH 09: Wesley Moraes of Aston Villa in action during a training session at Bodymoor Heath training ground on March 09, 2021 in Birmingham, England. Now he could be set for a switch to the second tier with the £22m signing looking to kick start his career again in England.

Moraes has made just 26 appearances for Villa since signing from Brugge in 2019. But his progress was seriously derailed when the 26-year-old suffered a severe cruciate knee ligament injury following a challenge by Ben Mee during a game at Burnley in 2020.

He eventually played again for Villa 480 days later when he came on as a sub against West Brom.
