Quarterback Jaden Rashada left Arizona State through the transfer portal and committed to Georgia.

The Associated Press received word via email on Thursday from Henry Danger of Disruptive Sports, Rashada’s agent, that the former Florida quarterback commit had transferred to Georgia, a rival school in the Southeastern Conference.

Rashada signed with Florida in December 2022, ranking among the top 40 prospects in the nation by ESPN. When a NIL contract with the Gators fell through, he ultimately decided to attend Arizona State.

After the Gator Collective, an independent fundraising organisation with ties to the institution that compensates student-athletes for the use of their name, image, and likeness, failed to honour a four-year contract worth over $13 million, Rashada was removed from his national letter of intent.

The 6-foot-4, 185-pound passer from Pittsburg, California is named Rashada. From 1992 to 1994, his father, Harlan, was an Arizona State defensive back.

Due to a knee injury, Rashada was limited to just three games last season despite starting the whole campaign. With three interceptions, he completed his pass for 485 yards and four scores.

Carson Beck, a returning starter who led the Bulldogs to a 12-1 record in his debut season, will face Rashada at Georgia.
