“Bengals franchise (wide receiver) Tee Higgins also has requested to be traded being that there have been no contract talks with the team now in over a year,” Schefter stated.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that top receiver Tee Higgins of the Cincinnati Bengals, who has been with the team for his entire four-year professional career, has requested a trade after talks over a long-term deal broke down.
Higgins has emerged as a top wide receiver after being chosen by the Bengals in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Though it’s unclear where he will end up or even if he will be traded, the Philadelphia Eagles might find him to be an interesting addition.
Philadelphia should think about going all in and adding as much talent as they can because the team has the talent to contend for a Super Bowl championship the next season. A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith are two excellent receivers the Eagles already have, but it never hurts to add more skill.
Should the Eagles really be putting their best foot forward for a Super Bowl championship, they ought to think about making a trade for someone like Higgins, who would probably only require a mix of draft picks.
Although Brown, Smith, Saquon Barkley, and Jalen Hurts already provide a wealth of talent to Philadelphia’s offence, Higgins’ addition wouldn’t be detrimental. Shall the Eagles pull off the big trade?
