Detroit Multiple reports say that the NFL has reinstated five players, including four former Detroit Lions, from their indefinite suspensions resulting from last year’s infractions of the league’s gambling policy.
Quintez Cephus, a wide receiver, safety C.J. Moore, defensive end Rashod Berry, defensive lineman Demetrius Taylor, and defensive end Shaka Toney had their bans overturned by the league.
Moore and Cephus were two of the five individuals suspended in April of last year.
Cephus and Moore were both freed as soon as their suspensions were made public. Moore, a veteran member of the Lions’ special teams, had re-signed as a free agent with the team one month prior.
It wasn’t until late June that Taylor’s suspension was made public. The organisation had previously released rid of the former undrafted free agent one month prior.
The players that have been restored are free to sign with new teams right once as their sanctions have been lifted.
