The agent for Brandon Aiyuk refuted rumours that the wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers asked to be traded.

Ryan Williams reacted to a statement on social media on Sunday stating that Aiyuk had asked for a trade by saying, “You need better sources.”

This happens after Aiyuk—who is about to enter the last season of his contract—created a stir on Instagram by unfollowing the 49ers:

Throughout the offseason, the wide receiver’s status with San Francisco has been a hot topic of discussion. During an interview with Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson on the Nightcap podcast last month, he personally addressed it (via Ian Casselberry of Yahoo Sports).

Aiyuk declared, “I’m attempting to obtain what I deserve.” “I think that during this football season, I came to terms with my identity as a player and a person, as well as what I offer to the field, the locker room, and the organisation. Additionally, the value I bring with me into that building.”

According to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner, general manager of San Francisco John Lynch also stated last month that the organisation is “actively talking with Brandon trying to figure something out.”

“We have a good history of working with the guys we want to get done to get something done and it takes two sides,” he said. Can we do that now? Let’s see. Although there are several other paths, we genuinely value Brandon’s contributions as a player and would like to see him join the Niners. We’re going to endeavour to bring that to pass.”

However, it seems that Aiyuk responded to such remarks by saying, “Money talks, bullshit walks”:
