The 2023-24 Michigan football team is one of the most talented college football teams in recent memory. Rival fans have tried to say the Wolverines cheated, even though the NCAA came out and said it was won “fair and square.”
The charting narrative never passed the smell test. At least not for anyone who has a clue about the game of football and still exists in reality. Ohio State fans have lost their minds due to three straight losses to Michigan football by an average of 14 points.
It’s understandable. But what’s going to bug them is watching Michigan football break the NFL record for draft picks by one school in one NFL draft later this month. At least if Grant Hughes, a CBS Sports analyst is right with his prediction.
Michigan football projected to break an NFL draft record
Hughes predicts that Michigan football will have 17 players drafted in the 2024 NFL draft. Jim Harbaugh made this prediction before the season. He also predicted J.J. McCarthy would go No. 1 and while that doesn’t seem likely, McCarthy should go top five.
The draft is going to be dominated by Michigan football though. Not in the first round, but starting in the second, a ton of Wolverines are going to get drafted. Mike Sainristil should be a first-round pick. NFL teams will regret passing on him. Blake Corum, Zak Zinter, Kris Jenkins, Roman Wilson, and a bunch of others have a shot to go on day two and should.
