Dr Rajpal Brar claims that the Aston Villa defender, who had a muscular injury prior to the Arsenal match, is at risk of reinjury.

On Sunday, April 14, Unai Emery will make his way back to the Emirates with the intention of taking a point off the Gunners as Villa looks to secure a Champions League berth.

Cash, on whom a decision will be made closer to kickoff, might not be risked, though, if he’s not fully fit.

Dr. Brar, a sports scientist and physical therapist, discussed this scenario with Villa News.

He only recently started training again after experiencing what I think to be a muscle problem.

It is highly probable that he underwent some kind of team training prior to undergoing comprehensive training.

As Emery states, a choice will be made soon after the game and will also depend on his emotional state.

“Rushing someone back when they’re almost 100% increases the risk of re-injury and makes no sense.”
