This summer promises to be a pivotal one for Newcastle United.
At the moment, European football appears to be within reach, but it must be earned, and where the Magpies finish this season will most certainly determine who they let go and who they sign ahead of the 2024/25 season.
Some players may be regarded surplus to requirements, but a guy who has nine goals and four assists in 23 appearances this season, according to Area Napoli, must be given a chance to impress.
Napoli could move for Newcastle’s on-loan star Minteh.
Yankuba Minteh is on loan from Newcastle to Feyenoord, and he’s been tearing up the Eredivisie.
The kind of form he’s exhibited during the 2023/24 season appears to have sparked the eye of clubs like Partnopei.
At only 19 years old, it appears that the kid has a bright future in the game, but whether he is too green for the Magpies at this moment will most likely be determined in the summer.
Eddie Howe and the Saudi Public Investment Fund will undoubtedly be impressed with the youngster’s performances, but there’s little point in bringing him back to St. James’ Park if he’ll only be used infrequently.
It is one of several decisions that the team must make as quickly as possible after the season concludes.
If the owners ultimately determine that one of the major names must be removed due to Financial Fair Play or other reasons, Minteh may be drafted in.
If the club decides against it, Napoli may consider adding him to their pool of talent.
