HE IS BACK: Eagles announces the return of a significant player

The Philadelphia Eagles have just expanded their roster, including a reunion with one of their key members from the 2022 NFC Championship squad.

After spending the 2023 NFL season with the Detroit Lions, veteran safety CJ Gardner-Johnson returned to the Eagles after entering free agency for the second year in a row.

Johnson returned to the Philadelphia-based franchise and expressed love to his team’s neighbour, the Philadelphia 76ers.

On Thursday night, the Sixers visited the Miami Heat. Johnson was in attendance at the Kaseya Centre, pulling for the away team. The veteran Eagle made sure to let his X followers know he was there to watch Sixers standout Joel Embiid in play.

Johnson caught a Sixers game down south at the perfect time. Joel Embiid appeared in his second game back from a meniscus injury on Thursday.

Back in January, Embiid was thriving again, leading the league in scoring and topping most MVP race predictions. Unfortunately, his knee issues worsened when another player landed on his already hurt knee, bringing his night out in Golden State to an early stop.

After receiving MRIs and considering treatment alternatives, Embiid decided on surgery. He was supposed to remain absent for at least eight weeks. Embiid returned to action on Tuesday night, having missed two months of games.

Despite being uncertain to play in Miami on Thursday, the MVP-winning big man was permitted to play. He ended with 29 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 33 minutes of play. The Sixers
