Another Michigan receiver has enter the NCAA transfer portal

JC Anderson had never been to Tennessee’s campus before traveling to Knoxville on Monday. But he had heard enough good things about the program to know that there was a good chance he would come away impressed with the Vols.

The Class of 2026 tight end from Mt. Zion (Illinois) High School said his visit to Tennessee on Monday for its first spring practice turned out to be “one of the better experiences I’ve had.” He picked up a scholarship offer from the Vols while he was there, and he said they’re now “up there” in his mind on the fast-growing list of major programs pursuing him.

The Phenix City, Ala., native appeared in six games as a receiver and one as a punt returner. He made one catch for a 4-yard touchdown against Indiana and returned one punt for 8 yards.

A former four-star recruit, Michigan plucked English on national signing day in December 2022 after he originally committed to Auburn.

He joins receiver Eamonn Dennis, who entered the transfer portal on Monday. Two other Michigan players have entered the transfer portal since Harbaugh departed Michigan: Offensive lineman Reece Atteberry and safety Keon Sabb.
