After the departures of Morgan Moses and Kevin Zeitler, the Baltimore Ravens are in need of bodies up front. Preferably bodies that can contribute to the pass protection of quarterback Lamar Jackson and the run blocking for new running back Derrick Henry. Against that backdrop, the Ravens announced on Thursday that they’ve signed former Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans offensive tackle Josh Jones. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Jones was a third-round draft pick of the Cardinals in 2020 and appeared in 47 games with 21 starts over three seasons. Last offseason, Arizona traded the former Houston Cougar to his hometown Texans where he played in 13 regular season games with three starts and played in both of Houston’s playoff games.

Earlier this month, the Ravens traded Moses and a fourth-round pick to the Jets in exchange for a fourth and sixth-round pick. With the swap of fourth-round picks, Baltimore will now have the No. 112 overall pick, while New York now has the No. 134 overall pick. Just a few days later, free agent Zeitler agreed to a deal with the Detroit Lions to replace the Los Angeles-bound Jonah Jackson.
