DONE DEAL:Fulham agree £15m deal to sign Southampton defender

Fulham have agreed a £15million deal with Southampton for Mohammed Salisu, talkSPORT understands.

They also reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, with the west London outfit looking to go one step further next term.

Fulham have already secured the services of Willian for another season after he snubbed interest from Nottingham Forest.

Salisu could be the next man through the door at Craven Cottage after they agreed a fee with the now relegated Southampton.

The 24-year-old has made 80 appearances for the Saints since he signed from Real Valladolid in 2020.

He featured 28 times last season but was unable to help maintain Southampton’s status in the Premier League.

The Ghana international may not be the only defender to leave the club as Newcastle eye a move for Tino Livramento.

Alongside Salisu, Fulham want to sign Ajax’s Calvin Bassey for the heart of their defence.

The former Rangers man is also believed to be of interest to Brighton after just one season with the Dutch giants.

Whilst new signings could arrive at Fulham, they may be set for two huge departures this summer.
