It has been Brock Bowers’ decision to decline participation in any NFL Combine workouts. Here’s what we currently know.

Georgia Bulldogs tight end Brock Bowers has consistently been amongst some of the most notable names in the 2024 NFL Combine process. The two-time Mackey Award-winning tight end has been tabbed as a sure-fire first-round lock and is expected by many to be the first player taken at his position.

With Bowers’ draft stock seemingly already in an excellent place, it appears that the tight end has elected to forgo participating in NFL Combine workouts and will likely only take part in medical evaluations as well as media availabilities.

While this news was sudden and relatively unexpected, fans should remember that Bowers battled an ankle sprain that required surgery during the 2023 season and was sidelined for a handful of games including Georgia’s dominant 63-3 victory over Florida State in the 2024 Orange Bowl.

Bowers will likely compete in “combine-like” drills in front of NFL scouts during his pro day at the University of Georgia. The Bulldogs pro day is currently set for March 13th.
