Well, it proved a really difficult afternoon for Williams to stomach as he came up against the club where he spent many years.
The youngster moved in search of regular football in the summer of 2022 and he’s finally starting to settle at Forest.
Forest defender Williams has taken to Instagram after the game yesterday. Darwin Nunez scored a goal in the ninth minute of stoppage time to see the visitors claim a huge win – and Williams is gutted.
After the game, Williams let the dust settle and today he posted a four-word post on Instagram that simply read: “Tough one to take.”
Williams was handed another chance to shine against Liverpool and the right-back spot looks like his to lose right now.

The young defender has been a bit of a slow burner at the City Ground but now he’s starting to kick into life under a new head coach.
Who Scored showed that Williams did okay again yesterday for Forest, with the 22-year-old winning four tackles and completing four clearances.
The player clearly has the trust of Nuno Espirito Santo who sees him ahead of Gonzalo Montiel at the moment.
Yesterday was a tough one to take for the entire Forest team. The hope will be that the squad can move on from this quickly.
