News Now: Another QB will be relocating Raiders

At some point this offseason the Las Vegas Raiders are expected to move on from Jimmy Garoppolo, leaving Aidan O’Connell and Brian Hoyer as the only other quarterbacks on the roster. We may not know who the Raiders’ starting QB will be next season, but we’re getting closer to knowing who their coaches will be.

Antonio Pierce hired Luke Getsy from Chicago to be the Raiders’ offensive coordinator and playcaller, and Las Vegas appears ready to hire a QB coach too.

Known for various different roles in college football and the NFL, including as the Denver Broncos’ offensive coordinator in 2019, Scangarello’s most recent title was as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Kentucky in 2022.

While he did not have a job with a college or NFL team during the 2023 season, Scangarello has been staying busy training Caleb Williams as the USC QB prepares for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Once the NFL Draft gets underway, Williams will have a new team, with their own group of specialists and coaches, but if Fowler’s report comes to fruition, Scangarello’s work with other quarterbacks won’t have to end.
