Indianapolis, Indiana Mark Zackery IV, a cornerback for Ben Davis Top247 2025, is beginning to schedule his spring visits.
According to his family, a return to Notre Dame is scheduled for March 22–23. In January, he was on the Irish campus for junior day.
Boston College is reportedly set to hire current Ohio State co-offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien to be their next head coach. Bruce Feldman of The Athletic made the initial report on Thursday evening saying he was the “top target,” and Eagle Insider sources confirmed it. The one-time Penn State head coach, who also spent time in the NFL with the New England Patriots and Houston Texans, will replace Jeff Hafley, who left the program on Wednesday to become the new defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers. The other finalist for the position was Notre Dame defensive line coach, and former Boston College defensive lineman and coach Al Washington.
O’Brien, who was born in Boston and grew up in Andover, attended St. John’s Prep (Danvers) before heading to Brown, where he played college football. After starting his coaching career with Brown, he spent the next decade in the ACC coaching at Georgia Tech, starting as a grad assistant and working his way up to offensive coordinator. Then he was running backs coach at Maryland and offensive coordinator at Duke.
The NFL was next for O’Brien, who headed to the New England Patriots, where he took on a number of roles between 2007-2011, including his work with Tom Brady as a quarterbacks coach. From there, he got his first opportunity as a head coach at Penn State, on the heels of the Joe Paterno scandal in 2012, and went 8-4 while winning the Paul “Bear’ Bryant Coach of the Year Award.
