With all the news coming out surrounding the allegations made around the University of Tennessee, many national analysts are starting to share opinions on the matter. College Gameday host Rece Davis is the latest to comment on Tennessee vs. NCAA. Daivs pointed out, as did Tennessee athletic director Danny White that the problems in the NIL space aren’t on an individual program – the landscape of college football has vastly changed.
“My automatic response is to ask why you are bothering with Tennessee on this; nevertheless, let me clarify that if you show me something egregious and obviously against the written regulations, I will say so. Given everything that is going on, how come this has been ruled illegal, if, as some outlets have claimed, it is centered upon Nico Iamaleava’s private jet? What does not violate the regulations and what does? In their answer to the NCAA, Tennessee even went so far as to state, “You can’t enforce some rule retroactively that wasn’t against the rules then,” adding, “We didn’t violate any rules.” I find it kind bit stupid.
