Nottingham Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo has sent a tough message to the red card offender from the 1-1 draw at Bournemouth as he awaits the injury verdict on goal hero Callum Hudson-Odoi.
Cherries substitute Philip Billing was shown a straight red by referee Rebecca Welch after raking his studs down the back of Hudson-Odoi’s right Achilles at the Vitality Stadium.
Summer signing Hudson-Odoi had earlier cancelled out Justin Kluivert’s fifth-minute opener for Bournemouth, but was forced off after the foul in the dying minutes of the game.
When asked about the incident after the game, Nuno backed the ref for what he described as a “compromising” challenge, adding: “It’s obvious it’s a red card.
