Maxx Crosby, the greatest player on the squad and a defensive end, has learned that Antonio Pierce, the interim head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, will be interviewing this weekend to become the head coach of the Tennessee Titans. Crosby is clearly uncomfortable with the scenario.

On Friday morning, Crosby advocated for Pierce on Twitter. Following that, NFL Media revealed that Crosby is “drawing a line in the sand” regarding his wish for Pierce to take over as head coach of Las Vegas.

According to people close to Crosby, the belief that he plans to leave Las Vegas if Pierce doesn’t get promoted is accurate and he takes his position seriously.

Entering his sixth season in the NFL, Crosby is desperate for continuity and stability in the organization’s leadership. When Josh McDaniels was chosen as interim coach two years ago, he backed Rich Bisaccia, and now he wants Pierce.

Raiders owner Mark Davis talks coach, GM search and who held power in the former regime - The Athletic

For weeks, Crosby and a number of other Raiders players have openly backed Pierce. He doesn’t see the need to hire someone else because he is confident in his ability to lead.

Crosby is uneasy because Pierce is speaking with another team and the Raiders are concentrating on their hunt for a general manager when there has been no progress on the head-coaching hire. The Raiders’ owner Mark Davis is obviously informed by these social media posts that the players want Pierce.

The greatest player on the club will lead an unhappy locker room if Davis decides to go. Thus, maybe this forces Davis to decide quickly to promote Pierce.
