Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that the Tennessee Titans have requested to interview Las Vegas Raiders interim coach Antonio Pierce. He took over as the head coach in Las Vegas after Josh McDaniels was fired and led the team to a 5-4 record. The Raiders are reportedly very interested in retaining him as their full-time coach.
Pierce played middle linebacker in the league from 2001-2009. He started his coaching career as a high school head coach in California before going to Arizona State in various roles on the defensive staff. He has been with the Raiders since 2022.
As I have said before, my preference is that the Titans hire an offensive coach to avoid the revolving door of offensive coordinators that we saw under Mike Vrabel. It’s not an absolute necessity, but it seems like the best thing for the development of Will Levis.
