The Eagles are expected to go all out against the Giants on Sunday in an effort to cap up the regular season on a high note. They still desperately need to “get right” before the playoffs.

However, the Dallas-Washington game will take place concurrently. If the EFORMERagles defeat New York, the winner of this game will determine who will win the NFC East and, thus, the No. 2 seed in the playoffs.

There’s a lot on the line. Whatever happens, Lane Johnson plans to play with the Eagles’ starting lineup at 4:25 p.m. on Sunday. The seasoned right tackle also stated on Thursday’s 94 WIP midday show that he isn’t interested in watching the scoreboard.

Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni: How to eliminate distractions

It’s an activity. When everyone is advising you, “You might want to rest your starters or you might want to do this and get some relief,” I think one of these games right now is a fantastic test. I believe it is an excellent time for us to clear our heads.

“Obviously you want to avoid any injuries that are out there, but at the same time, we want to get our offense and get our whole team going before the playoffs.”

Indeed, it’s an uncomfortable situation to be in. However, the Eagles mostly dug themselves this hole after losing four of their previous five games in the previous month.

Dallas only needs to defeat Washington to win the NFC East, but the Eagles will need to defeat the Giants and the Cowboys to fall to the Commanders in fourth place in order to pull it off and defend the championship.

This suggests that, given that the Eagles will need to travel and return the following week for the Wild Card round, they might want to think about pulling their starters if Dallas has a sizable lead in the game in an effort to get them as rested as possible. This suggests that, given that the Eagles will need to travel and return the following week for the Wild Card round, they might want to think about pulling their starters if Dallas has a sizable lead in the game in an effort to get them as rested as possible.

Head coach Nick Sirianni stated earlier in the week that he and his staff will discuss every eventuality that could arise in that respect and that nothing would be ruled out, at least not until Monday. But the Eagles haven’t been playing well at all, either on or off the ball, and they could really use a victory in their last regular season game to at least raise spirits and resolve any remaining problems.

Regarding the offensive line, which has scored points but not enough to offset a faltering defense or in crucial situations recently when they truly needed a touchdown, Johnson said to WIP: “We’ve had our moments where we’ve had some success, but I feel like we’re still waiting and everybody’s still waiting to be like ‘Woah! They just – they’ve fully optimized.'” It all comes down to personal property. Every possession is valuable, and you must execute and convert on third downs. Thus, there is still work to be done, but perhaps our greatest football is ahead of us.”
