Nobody is immune to The Simpsons’ hilarious wrath. Not even Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan football team under JJ McCarthy’s leadership was safe. The program parodied the recent controversy over sign-stealing, which had many teams around the country scratching their heads. The NCAA is still looking into every detail of the situation. However, it didn’t stop Bart Simpson from making light of the circumstance on FOX.
Bart Simpson was teaching at the Jim Harbaugh Center for Competitive Imbalance. This took a jab at how the Michigan football program had been sending scouts across the nation which got them largely accused of being unfair to other rival schools. The Simpsons would then make the character teach “Intro to Cheating 101.
The Michigan football program hasn’t been able to achieve recognition because of this dispute. Coaches that have expressed contempt for the Wolverines’ post-game behavior include Ryan Walters. A few even went so far as to openly denounce it. Despite the seriousness of these charges, Harbaugh has been silent about them and refuted every accusation made against the squad.
