Just In: Nottingham Forest coach announce potential signing, awarding €99.8million

As Atlético Mineiro remain strong in the pursuit of Nottingham Forest midfielder Gustavo Scarpa, the Brazilian media shows the confidence there is they’ll win this race.

Goal Brasil has reported that the Galo are now “excited” about the transfer and intend to make the announcement “before the Christmas holidays.”

It is reported that Atletico is attempting to “accelerate” a deal with Nottingham Forest after receiving a “positive sign” from Scarpa.

The Tricky Trees have ruled out a loan arrangement, thus the offer is for a €4.5 million permanent relocation.
Scarpa is getting a four-year contract from Atlético, according to Goal Brasil. In addition, he asked for a monthly salary of €224k and a signing bonus of €3.7m; however, the club was able to reduce those figures somewhat.

According to the story, they plan to reveal his signing as a “Christmas gift” for their supporters, but that will depend on Nottingham Forest’s decision to accept the offer.

It makes sense for the Reds to wait for additional offers to see if they can make more money elsewhere, especially because Flamengo is also interested in the player.
