Manchester United’s latest recruit is readying to meet his teammates for the first time.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper has a flight booked for today (Thursday) to join the squad in the United States ready for the beginning of the pre-season tour on Saturday against Arsenal. Whether or not he will feature remains on his fitness.

Onana, 27, is signing on a five-year deal which includes the option of a further year, and it’ll certainly take some getting used to for the Old Trafford faithful, as David de Gea has filled the No.1 role for the past 12 years.

Laurie Whitwell’s report confirmed that the club would announce his arrival in the next 24 hours, so supporters should keep an eye on social media throughout the day.
