When the Eagles play the Cowboys for the NFC East championship, they should be feeling a bit ruffled after a devastating loss to the 49ers.
Hurts, Jalen, quarterback
Although it wasn’t his worst performance of the season, it felt that way last week. Hurts completed just 57.8% of his throws and gained just 20 yards on the ground as he labored immensely to locate receivers and running lanes.
David Carr of NFL Network said following the game that the team would be better off starting backup Marcus Mariota. “I think (Mariota) is probably more proficient than Hurts at quarterbacking the Philadelphia Eagles at this time,” Carr remarked. “Right now, he would be more productive.”
Nick Bosa, a defensive end for the 49ers, boasted on Thursday that his squad has the quarterback for Philadelphia figured out. “We released the blueprint,” Bosa stated to the press. “Perhaps the Cowboys will view the video.”
Some really hot takes there. Hurts hasn’t answered, but they might be forced to retract their statements if they play well against Dallas.
D’Andre Swift, the backfield
With just six carries against San Francisco, Swift has the fewest since his one-yard gain on the first carry of the season. Although he only had 13 yards the previous week, the team should be able to get the ball to him more frequently.
