After being officially declared uncertain to play against the San Francisco 49ers, will Dallas Goedert actually suit up?

It was noteworthy that, prior to Saturday’s 4:00 PM Eastern deadline, the Philadelphia Eagles had not elevated any temporary practice squad members.

The Eagles activated Noah Togiai last week, bringing him in behind Jack Stoll and Albert Okwuegbunam as a tight end. It was speculated that they might repeat the action for the 49ers game.

Maybe they didn’t think they needed him since Goedert will be fine?

Not sure if that is really likely. It should be mentioned that Grant Calcaterra is questionable—better than doubtful—to play, and that he might line up as a third tight end with Stoll and Okwuegbunam if Togiai is not elevated. I’m assuming that Goedert’s absence will confirm that.

The Eagles did not call up another defensive tackle from the practice squad, which is unrelated to the elevation. Is that encouraging for Fletcher Cox, perhaps? Perhaps not, given that they didn’t feel the need to elevate Thomas Booker or Noah Elliss since Milton Williams wasn’t present last week.
