Wiremu Greig’s plans for 2024 have experienced a little setback.

Following a stress response in the foot he injured last season, the young prop has been restricted to light exercise as a load management strategy.

In the New Year, he hopes to start full training with Clint Gutherson, Junior Paulo, Daejarn Asi, and Makahesi Makatoa.

The Parramatta Eels are excited to introduce Steve Georgallis as their new NRLW Head Coach for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

Steve has four decades of rugby league experience, both as a player and as a coach, most recently as an assistant coach with the North Queensland Cowboys.

I’m excited to meet the Eels’ players and collaborate with assistant coach Kate Mullaly and the rest of our team to establish a strong football program for next season.

“Western Sydney is the heart of rugby league and the Parramatta Eels are a big part of that, so it’s very exciting to lead the women’s program and continue to build on the great work that has already been done in that space,” Steve said.

“Steve brings a wealth of rugby league knowledge and experience that we know our NRLW team will greatly benefit from,” stated Parramatta Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos.

Steve played 229 games in Australia and the United Kingdom during his career and has also had a long coaching career, including periods as Interim Head Coach with Penrith in 2011 and the Bulldogs in 2020.
