JUST IN: Bengals Get devastating and Troubling Injury Update On Joe Burrow

It seems doubtful that quarterback Joe Burrow will play again this season, therefore the Cincinnati Bengals have placed him on their injury reserve list.

Burrow will now miss the rest of the season after leaving the Bengals’ game against the Baltimore Ravens on November 16 due to a wrist injury.

His wrist ligaments were torn, leading to the original diagnosis of a sprain until it was determined he would require surgery.

“It’s clear that you have high expectations for the upcoming season,” Burrow said to reporters on Friday. What the season’s conclusion will look like. We were well positioned.

Things were beginning to change. Just when you’re becoming very good at your game, this kind of event happens. You are powerless to change it. You just have to persevere.

Quarterback Jake Browning will assume quarterback responsibilities and is anticipated to start the remaining games of the campaign. AJ McCarron, meanwhile, will start Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers as the backup quarterback after being promoted from the practice squad.

After Burrow exited in the first half of Cincinnati’s 34-20 loss to Baltimore, Browning continued to play.

Of his 17 throws, 11 were completed by Burrow for 101 yards. Before being forced to leave the game due to pain in his throwing hand, he also found Joe Mixon for a four-yard touchdown pass.

Burrow stated, “I just felt a pop in the middle of the throw on the next play, the touchdown pass. The play before, I landed on my wrist a little bit.” I gave it a go, but I was unable to complete it. Naturally, I received the bad news today.

The NFL started looking into the Bengals for any injury report compliance issues shortly after the game. The inquiry was prompted by multiple social media images in which Burrow was pictured with a bandage on his injured wrist during the Bengals’ visit to Maryland.

The wrap Burrow was wearing had nothing to do with the injury, according to Ravens coach Zach Taylor’s statement on Friday.

With seven games remaining in the season, the Bengals are now 5-5.
