After the Indianapolis Colts released Darius Shaquille Leonard this week, Philadelphia Eagles fans believe general manager Howie Roseman removed former first-round defensive end Derek Barnett to make place for a four-time All-Pro linebacker.
The Colts made the surprising move only weeks after Leonard complained about his lack of defensive snaps this season. Due to Leonard’s injury history, the Colts have grown tired of playing him too frequently. Leonard missed the entire 2022 season due to a back injury.

Leonard cleared waivers this week, becoming a highly sought-after free agent. The Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles have all been linked to Leonard.

After word that the Eagles were cutting Derek Barnett on Friday morning, fans were enthusiastic about the possibility of signing Leonard. Many fans believe the Eagles cleared a space on the 53-man roster to sign Leonard.
