A star has a powerful WThe rivalry between Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby is one of the most heated in the NFL. Though they have a lot of respect for one other, when the two teams compete, they talk a lot of trash.
Mahomes spoke about Crosby and what he contributes to the game ahead of the Raiders and Chiefs meeting in Week 12.Raiders need ords because…..
“I mean, I don’t like playing against him because I know what kind of player he is and how he approaches the game.” But, no, I don’t talk to a lot of garbage. I simply try to stay motivated and go out and win. And he is the same.” Mahomes stated this during a media availability on November 22. “He wants to win as much as anyone else.” That is why I hold such high regard for him. But, at the end of the day, we’re competitors, and competitors compete.”
Crosby has 4.0 sacks against the Chiefs in eight career games, but the Raiders have only won one of those games. Mahomes clearly admires Crosby, so he’ll be an important component of Kansas City’s offensive strategy. He’s the type of player who can have an impact on the game and give the Raiders a chance to snap their five-game losing streak to the Chiefs.
Patrick Mahomes Praises Maxx Crosby
Patrick Mahomes and Maxx Crosby got a touch chippy in a Week 5 Monday Night Football contest last season. Crosby shoved Mahomes in the face, and the quarterback refused to back down. The two have been furious at times, but there is a lot of respect between them.
Crosby received high accolades from Mahomes.
“No, I don’t think he’s attempting to. If he’s trying to make a statement, he just plays hard every time.” said Mahomes. “And that’s why he’s one of the best players in the NFL.”
Crosby is known for talking trash and pushing buttons, and not even the best quarterback in the NFL is immune to his insults.
Maxx Crosby Excited to Play Against Patrick Mahomes Again
The Raiders and Chiefs have always had a one-sided rivalry. Maxx Crosby is 1-7 versus Kansas City in his career. Despite the fact that Las Vegas hasn’t won many games against their adversary, Crosby enjoys playing against Patrick Mahomes.
“In reality, it’s awesome getting to see Mahomes,” Crosby told ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez this week. “He’s a dog, and there’s a reason he wins.” That’s the kind of guy I want to be around. That is the reason we compete. I know I’m one of the greatest, and he’s one of the best, and that’s what drives our competitiveness.
