“Reporter: Is there any chance Joe Burrow could return if the Bengals make a deep playoff run?” ‘I would not think so,’ says Zac Taylor.” Siciliano sent out a tweet.

Joe Burrow suffered a wrist injury in the Bengals’ 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last week on TNF. In the second quarter, Burrow connected with running back Joe Mixon for a touchdown throw.

Burrow was caught on camera gripping his wrist and screaming in pain after releasing the ball. He quickly walked to the Bengals’ locker room to be evaluated further. Jake Browning stepped in to fill the void.

In the second half, Joe Burrow attempted some warm-up passes on the sidelines. Unfortunately, he underthrew his passes, indicating that he had severely hurt his throwing wrist. Burrow has been ruled out for the season by the Bengals.

The Bengals dropped their second straight game without Burrow and cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt. As a result, Cincinnati finished bottom in the AFC North division. With the way things are going, the Bengals’ chances of earning a third straight division title are close to none.

How Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor is approaching 2021

Cincinnati’s elimination from the playoffs remains a possibility. In the following four weeks, the Bengals will play the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, and Minnesota Vikings. It’s difficult to see the Bengals making the playoffs with inexperienced quarterback Jake Browning at the helm.

Cincy is in risk of missing the playoffs for the first time in three years unless Zac Taylor pulls a rabbit out of his hat.
