For the first time since his Kansas City squad defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2023 Super Bowl, Kelce will face his brother, Jason Kelce.
Taylor Swift may have the guy from the Chiefs following her around, but the Philadelphia Eagles have their own group of fans.
Top 40 Philadelphia radio station Q102 said that it will be rooting for the home team when the Kansas City Chiefs face the Eagles for the first time since the former defeated the latter in the 2023 Super Bowl.
“Q102 is punting Taylor Swift from the radio station for the entire weekend because while Q102 loves Taylor Swift, we can’t get enough of her,” Nugget, the host of the radio station, stated. “This weekend it’s really important we show our support for the Birds.”
Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce fueled dating rumors a few months back when the Grammy winner attended the football star’s game against the Chicago Bears on Sept. 24. She’s attended three more Chiefs games since then, against the New York Jets, Denver Broncos, and Los Angeles Chargers, and he’s been spotted at some of her Eras Tour locations.
Q102 isn’t the only group of Eagles fans seeking to keep Swift out of the game against the Chiefs. Patti LaBelle shared the station’s attitude during an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show.
“You know what I mean. Allow me to say something. “Back up, Taylor and all your Swifties,” she said. “[The Chiefs] are on their way out.” The Eagles will triumph. It’s finalized. So, Taylor, I love you, but please stay at home.”
Swift is a tight end for the Chiefs. Travis Kelce sparked relationship speculations a few months ago by attending the football star’s game against the Chicago Bears on September 24. She’s seen him at three more Chiefs games since then, against the New York Jets, the Denver Broncos, and the Los Angeles Chargers, and he’s been spotted at some of her Eras Tour stops.
Kelce traveled to Buenos Aires last week to accompany Swift at the commencement of the Eras Tour’s international leg. The tight end was captured dancing and singing alongside the superstar’s father, Scott Kingsley Swift, on the second night of the tour’s visit in Argentina’s capital.
Swift even gave Kelce a shoutout during her closing song, “Karma,” changing the lyrics from “Karma is the guy on the screen coming straight home to me” to “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs coming straight home to me.”
During a New Heights podcast interview with his brother and Eagles center Jason Kelce, the Chiefs player stated that he was given advance notice that Swift would do something special to acknowledge his attendance in the Buenos Aires concert audience.
“Yeah no I had no clue that…” “Well, I might have had a little bit of a clue,” he stated before confessing, “but definitely when I heard it come out of her mouth, [it] still shocked me.”
