Martavis Bryant is attempting an NFL return against all odds. Due to an extended suspension, the former Raiders wide receiver has been out of the league since 2018.

He just announced his intention to return to the NFL, and he now has a franchise. Bryant has agreed to terms with the Dallas Cowboys, according to a November 7 X post from The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The Cowboys must have been impressed with what they observed during his previous workout. Bryant is 31 years old, but he still plays football. He was most recently a member of the XFL’s Vegas Vipers, but he has also played in the CFL, NAL, and FCF. He is committed to playing football, but his suspension prevented him from playing in the NFL.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell just reinstated the wide receiver, giving him his greatest chance yet to play in an NFL game again. However, he’ll start on the Cowboys’ practise squad, meaning he won’t be able to play in games. He still has more work to do in order to make the active roster.

Dallas Cowboys Need WR Help

CeeDee Lamb is the Cowboys’ star wide receiver. With 824 receiving yards, he is fifth in the NFL. However, the team’s wide outs aren’t providing much else. Michael Gallup has only 243 receiving yards, and Brandin Cooks has only 165 yards.

Martavis Bryant previously had three seasons with 500 or more receiving yards, but that was more than five years ago. It’s difficult to see him as the saviour of the Cowboys’ wide receiver corps, but it’s a low-risk move for the team. Bryant stands 6-foot-4 and has a 40-yard sprint time of 4.42 seconds.
