The Detroit Lions returned to practise Tuesday in preparation for their Week 10 game against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Frank Ragnow, David Montgomery, and Jonah Jackson all returned to the team’s practise facility at Allen Park.
Montgomery and Jackson have each missed numerous games, including the team’s Week 8 matchup.
Donovan Peoples-Jones, the new Lions wideout, was sighted at practise wearing his No. 19 jersey.
During his Monday press conference, Dan Campbell delivered good updates regarding the trio of players. During the section of practise open to the media, all 53 players on the active roster were present.
The team’s bye week was discussed by the team’s third-year leader on Monday. It not only allowed the players to rest, but it also allowed the coaching staff to assess the team’s strengths and flaws.
“Yeah, so I would say the bye helps you because you’ve already, I don’t know how much tonight’s game, I mean we’ll certainly look at that, but it’s – the hay is kind of already in the barn,” Campbell said. “We’ve already got an eight-game snapshot of this team, and there’s not going to be a lot of changes there.” There will be a few things that we’ll make sure we check one way or another, but the bye offers you the opportunity to catch up.
“I also told the staff, I did not – at the sake of us not looking at ourselves and deep-diving ourselves and putting in a little bit of work today,” he said. “I wanted to make sure our guys understood and saw that because it will always be about us.” So, tomorrow, we’ll get deep into the Chargers. When they arrive, we’ll get to work on them.”
