Through eight games, the Detroit Lions have established themselves as one of the best teams in the NFC.

Expectations were high for Dan Campbell’s team in 2023, and the unit has lived up to them largely. Despite slip-ups against Seattle and Baltimore, the consensus is that this team is one to be reckoned with.

Here are the grades for each position group based on their performance through Detroit’s first eight games.

Jared Goff has been reliable and consistent for the Lions, guiding the offense in an efficient manner. He has answered the bell at times when the run game has struggled, throwing for over 300 yards twice.

Where Goff has struggled has been with turnovers. After ending the final 10 games of last season with just one interception, he has thrown five already through eight games.
