Newcastle United will be hoping their first-team squad is considerably stronger for their next Premier League clash following the international break. Eddie Howe was missing several key players for their tough run of fixtures before the international break, but saw his side go unbeaten seven games and record some impressive results.

However, some of those players could be back when the action gets back under way against Crystal Palace on November 21. United will need them, with games with Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United and Arsenall all on the horizon.

Speaking ahead of the 2-2 draw with West Ham, Howe said: “The injury list doesn’t look great but apart from Harvey Barnes there isn’t anything long term there. Maybe some short term pain there for us.”

Here’s a rundown of the latest Newcastle United injury situation.

The Newcastle United No 9 made a return to action from the bench in the 2-2 draw with West Ham, coming in for the closing stages after missing several games with a hamstring issue. The international break has come at an ideal time with Wilson able to build his fitness with United after his injury meant he was not included in Gareth Southgate’s England squad.
